    Black History Month: How Far Have We Come and What is Left to do in Equality

    In celebration of Black History Month, Julia Mendez Achee, Senior Consultant with Biddle Consulting Group’s People Insights Division, will be interviewing Shirley J. Wilcher, A.B., M.A., J.D. who has served in civil rights for over 30 years. During the Clinton Administration, Wilcher served a near seven-year term as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs in the Labor Department. Currently, Wilcher is the Executive Director of the American Association for Access Equity and Diversity (AAAED), formerly the American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA), founded in 1974. They will discuss the state of equity and inclusion for people of color and ways that organizations and individuals can move the needle forward in building spaces that are free from discrimination and harassment due to color.
